Granite

Granite is a common type of felsic intrusive igneous rock formed of interlocking crystals of quartz, feldspar, mica, and other minerals in lesser quantities. Granites can be predominantly white, pink, or gray in color, depending on their mineralogy. which makes up 70-80% of Earth's crust Large masses of granite are a major ingredient of mountain ranges.
Granite is a plutonic rock, meaning that it forms deep underground.
Granite is nearly always massive (lacking any internal structures), hard and tough, and therefore it has gained widespread use throughout human history.
Granite has been extensively used as a dimension stone and as flooring tiles in public and commercial buildings and monuments.
